The free PrestaShop blog module, and the AI that keeps it fed with articles.
Publium installs a full blog in your store (categories, tags, RSS, sitemap, structured data) and the app fills it with SEO articles generated from your catalog.
*Free module, installed in under five minutes on PrestaShop 1.6.1 to 9. Writing by the app is a subscription, with no minimum term.
Why a PrestaShop store needs a blog
PrestaShop ships without a blog, and that is the first thing missing from a store that wants to be found. Product pages answer ready-to-buy searches (a brand, a reference, a model) and leave out everything people look for before they buy. How to choose, which size to take, how to care for it, what separates two ranges: those questions make up most of the search volume in any sector, and no catalog page answers them.
The Publium module installs that blog inside the store, not next to it. Categories, tags, RSS feed, sitemap entries, friendly URLs, Schema.org structured data, a title tag and meta description per article: what SEO requires is there, on the same domain as the catalog. A blog sitting on a subdomain or a separate site does not pass the same authority to your product pages. The module is free and works on its own: you can write in it by hand and never open the app.
What the app adds on top is production. It reads the synced catalog (products, categories, CMS pages), suggests keywords sorted by search intent, writes a full draft in your language and your tone, links to the product pages concerned, then publishes as a draft, immediately or on the date you pick. Nothing goes out unread, and every version is kept.
A real blog, inside your store
Categories, tags, RSS feed, sitemap, friendly URLs, structured data: the module covers what SEO requires. It stays yours even if you never use the app.
Articles generated from your catalog
The app reads your products, categories and pages, suggests commercially-intent keywords, writes in your language and tone, links your product sheets, then publishes as draft, immediately or on schedule.
Technical SEO already handled
Title and meta tags per article, Schema.org, HTML matching your theme: every publication ships with the right settings, from 1.6.1 to 9.
From install to your first published article
The module installs like any PrestaShop module; everything else happens in the app, on any screen, phone included.
Install the module
One zip to upload from the back office, then “Install”. The blog exists from that step on: categories, feed, sitemap and pages are in place, and you can write in it with nothing else. Count five minutes.
Pair the store
Paste your license key into the module configuration. Pairing is automatic and signed: the app and the store then talk over a timestamped HMAC API, and no back-office credential ever travels.
Pick the topic
Analyzing the catalog returns a list of keywords with their intent and the products concerned. You keep one, frame the brief (angle, length, tone, an imposed outline if you have one) and start the writing.
Review, then publish
The draft arrives complete: title, standfirst, sections, tags, internal links. You edit, you ask for one passage to be rewritten if needed, then you publish, right away or on a chosen date. Or you simply take the text with you.
One store, or your clients’ whole fleet
You run your store yourself
Merchant
Nobody assigned to writing: that is the most common case, and the one where the blog stays empty for years despite good intentions. The hard part is starting, not writing faster. What helps is a topic suggested, a draft ready to review, and a publication that goes out without reopening the back office.
- A topic suggested every week, drawn from your own products
- No SEO knowledge needed: tags and internal links are handled
- Runs from a phone, between two customers
You write for your clients’ stores
Agency & SEO consultant
One account for the whole fleet: you analyze, write, schedule and publish store by store from the same dashboard, with a tone and keywords of its own for each. What the tool takes off your plate is production and publishing. The angle, the review and the client relationship stay yours.
- Remote publishing, without asking for back-office access
- Preview links for the client to approve, no account needed
- Monthly report per store, printable for the meeting
True in every case
- Compatible with PrestaShop 1.6.1, 1.7, 8 and 9, one single module
- Signed API: no back-office credentials to share
- Draft, immediate or scheduled publication
- Your content stays in your store, no matter what
What the module does not do
- It guarantees no ranking in Google, and nobody can. What it does ensure is that every page goes out with the technical settings search engines expect.
- It does not replace your theme and does not touch it: articles pick up the colors and fonts detected on your store, and stay editable after publication.
- It publishes nothing on its own. A generation produces a draft; publishing stays an action someone triggers, immediately or on the date they choose.
What we get asked about the module
- Does the blog work without a subscription?
- Yes. The module is free and self-contained: the blog, its categories, its RSS feed and its technical SEO work without an active subscription, and you can write in it by hand. The subscription only covers production by the app: catalog analysis, writing, scheduling.
- Which PrestaShop versions are covered? 1.6, 1.7, 8, 9?
- All four, with one module and the same functions everywhere. On 1.6.1, the module brings the blog that the modules of that era no longer maintain. On 1.7, installation goes through the module manager, and nothing needs adapting, in the theme or in the URLs. On 8 and 9, the Symfony back office changes nothing for the blog or for the connection with the app. Differences between versions are absorbed inside the module: nothing to pick at download time.
- What do published articles look like?
- Like your store. The module reads the real colors, fonts and styles of your theme, and the HTML it produces picks them up. That detection can be adjusted by hand in the app. The article stays ordinary PrestaShop content, editable after publication.
- What happens to my articles if I stop the subscription?
- They stay in your store: they are pages of your site, served by the module, indexed on your domain. Stopping the subscription stops generation, not the blog. And every piece of content can be taken as markdown, plain text or HTML if you want a copy elsewhere.
- I already have a WordPress blog beside my store.
- Then the call to make is about the domain, not the tool: a blog served by another site does not strengthen your product pages the way a blog served by the store does. If you want to stay on WordPress, our extension does it there too: it publishes your posts and your WooCommerce sheets, and keeps your Yoast or Rank Math fields up to date.
- Free, meaning what exactly?
- The module has no price. It comes with every Publium plan, from €19 to €249 a month with no minimum term: what you pay for is the app that writes for you, catalog analysis, drafting, scheduling. The module itself is never billed. Once installed, it stays in your store and keeps working if you cancel: the blog, its categories, its feed and its tags do not depend on an active subscription, and the terms of sale say so.
